A selection of projects I’ve worked on over the past few years,
including both in-house design work and freelance commissions.

Bunkermuseum

Client: Bunkermuseum / DesignDays
Partner: Cafe Noir
Services: Animated video

The Dutch island of Terschelling still has several bunkers left from the Second World War. The island once hosted a large radar installation, part of the Atlantik-Wall. In 2025 these bunkers were restored and transformed into a new museum. The exhibition not only explains the workings of the radar, but also sheds light on the daily presence of German soldiers on the island, the battles fought in the air, and the impact this period had on the local community.

For this project, DesignDays invited me to create an animation that demonstrates how the radar system worked. It goes beyond being a straightforward explainer: the animation also conveys the claustrophobia and the sense of fear the islanders lived with during those years. The final piece is a five-minute animation, shown in the museum’s main room. The example here is a short excerpt of the animation, shown at a faster speed.

Fryslan Bloeit

Client: Arcadia / Fryslân Bloeit
Services:
Logo · Font · Visual Identity · Print · Social Media

Fryslân Bloeit is an annual event where villages and neighborhoods across Friesland organize ecological “bloom weeks” in the form of small-scale festivals. For this initiative, I developed a custom typeface, a main logo, corporte identity and a full illustration package. These design elements serve as flexible building blocks, allowing each village to easily create its own visual identity for their local festival. In 2025, the event is taking place for the third time, with more than 35 villages participating across the region.

Het Achterland

Client: Het Achterland
Services:
Logo · Font · Visual Identity · Print · Social Media

For cultural organization Het Achterland – which organizes workshops, school programs, and cultural/educational events for children in a specific region of the Netherlands. I was asked to create the visual identity.

The base of the identity is a custom-made typeface, available in color and black. To complement the typeface, I developed a set of patterns, illustrations, and of course a logo, creating a complete toolbox the organization could work with. In addition, I designed several promotional campaigns for them, mainly posters and social media videos.

SBR

Client: SBR (Inhouse)
Services: Logo · Identity · Advertising

As the in-house designer, I was responsible for rebranding the neoclassical music label, moving away from stereotypical classical music visuals and creating a more minimal, modern identity. The main focus was redesigning the playlists for Apple Music and Spotify.

Fers

Client: Fers (Library of Fryslân)
Services: Illustration · Concepting · Lay-out · Advertising

On behalf of Fers (Library of Fryslan) I developed a range of illustration and designs around the theme of multilingualism. These included an illustrated book for primary school children, language flashcards for reading coaches, and promotional materials for the program.

Each element was designed to be engaging and accessible, making it easy for educators and coaches to adapt the materials to their specific needs and learning environments.

BDR

Client: BDR (Inhouse)
Services: Logo · Identity · Advertising

This is a project I worked on for a long time while serving as an in-house designer. For one of the major artists on our label/management, I created the logo and visual identity, her artworks, press packages, (partially) creating all of her her social media and DSP advertisements.

The latest project I took on was creating her first record, released both digital and physical. I worked from the initial themes and photoshoot concepts, editing all the photos, to combining everything into a cohesive visual album with matching merchandise.

Yung Frysk

Client: GH+O
Services: Illustration · Font Design · Lay-out

Yung Frysk is a project aimed at promoting the use of the minority language Frisian (Frysk) among teenagers. Campaign agency GH+O leads the project and asked me to develop the visual identity.

At the core of the campaign is a rough, custom font, designed in multiple variations and filled with illustrated glyphs. Every month, the organization publishes a “bookzine”: a poster folded into a booklet, which I design and illustrate.

Other outputs I worked on for Yung Frysk include an animated music video, a social media campaign, and a billboard campaign.

Neushoorn

Client: Neushoorn
Services:
Logo · Visual Identity · Print ·  Templates  · Social Media · Interior Design (Signing and Carpet) · Merchandise

One of the first big projects I took on – and still one of my favorites – was for a new music venue in my hometown, Neushoorn. I won the pitch and was tasked with creating the logo and visual identity. Following that, I designed elements for the building itself, including the office carpets (an 8×8 meter pattern!), internal and external signage and wayfinding, (privacy) window graphics, and staff uniforms.

The third and final phase of the project involved designing templates for marketing materials, including posters, flyers, booklets, social media posts, and banners.
